Terms of use
Last updated: 25 August 2026. These terms apply to this website and related portals unless a signed statement of work or invoice says otherwise for a named job.
1. Agreement
By browsing frontstardigital.com, creating an account, submitting a form, adding a product to the cart or paying an invoice, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you use the site for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind that organisation.
Front Star Digital Innovations is the operator. Address: P.O.BOX 202317 Kampala, Uganda. Email: support@frontstardigital.com. Phone: +256 779 971 024.
2. Website, portals and accounts
The public site describes services and products. It is not a bid until we issue a written quote or statement of work. Copy on service pages is general. Package names on service pages are starting shapes. Price for services is quoted from a brief, not listed as a public catalogue price.
A client account is for tickets, files, invoices, orders and appointments tied to work with us. You must give a real email, keep the password to yourself, and tell us if you think the account was used without you. We may lock an account after repeated failed logins. We may refuse or close an account that is used to abuse the site, impersonate someone, or skip payment that is due.
Staff use the admin console. Client users do not get admin rights. Do not share a staff login.
3. Services and statements of work
Websites, systems, apps, hosting operations, design, data work, training and related delivery are scoped in writing. The signed statement of work, quote or invoice controls what we will build, what you will supply, review dates, and what “done” means. Emails and chat on this site are useful for scheduling. They do not replace that document.
You remain responsible for content you ask us to publish, for licences to third-party software you require, and for decisions your staff make in a system after handover. We do not invent certifications we have not earned. Procurement packs should use the data protection page and the contract, not a logo wall of standards we have not been audited against.
Change requests after sign-off are quoted separately unless the statement of work already includes them.
4. Products, cart and delivery
Items on the Products pages can be added to a cart when a price is listed and the item is available. Digital products check out as listed. Physical products use delivery zones and fees set in admin. International physical orders may be quoted before they ship. Stock figures on a product page are what admin has entered. They are not a guarantee that a unit is on a shelf the minute you pay.
The cart is stored in this browser until you check out or clear it. Adding an item is an offer to buy at the price and currency shown at checkout. We may refuse an order that looks fraudulent, that we cannot fulfil, or that is missing a delivery address where one is required.
Domain search on the hosting service page is for availability and explanation. Domain names are not added to the cart from that page. Registration, if we handle it, follows the registry’s rules and a written instruction from you.
5. Price, currency and DPO
Product prices can be shown in UGX or USD. The switch uses the exchange rate set in admin at that time. The amount you authorise at DPO is the amount for that checkout. Service work is billed as the quote or invoice states, in UGX or USD as agreed.
When DPO keys are live, card and mobile-money payment happens on DPO’s page. DPO’s terms apply to that payment. We record order number, amount, currency and payment status. If DPO is not configured, the order can be saved and paid later from your orders. Refunds, chargebacks and failed payments follow the payment channel’s rules plus any refund clause in the invoice.
Quotes are valid for the period written on them. After that, we may re-quote.
6. Hosting, domains and uptime
Hosting and domain operations, when we provide them, are described on the hosting service page and in the contract. We do not list public hosting prices on that page. Backups, SSL and access are as scoped. We do not promise “unlimited” anything. Registry downtime, upstream network faults and force majeure are outside a simple uptime slogan. If a service level is required, it belongs in the statement of work as a number we can actually measure.
7. Intellectual property
This website’s design, copy and code are owned by Front Star Digital Innovations unless a credit says otherwise. You may not copy the site as a template for another business.
Work we create for you under a paid statement of work is licensed or assigned as that document says. Until invoices for that work are paid, we may withhold handover of repositories, admin credentials or final files. Third-party components keep their own licences. Client materials you give us stay yours. You warrant you have the right to give them to us to use for the project.
Portfolio case studies are published only when the project record allows it. We do not invent results.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use this site or our systems to break the law, send spam, probe or attack infrastructure, upload malware, scrape the site in a way that degrades it, or bypass login, CSRF, rate limits or payment. Forms include a honeypot and rate limits. Repeated abuse can be blocked.
You must not post content you do not have rights to, or personal data of other people without a lawful basis.
9. Warranties
The public website is provided as a working brochure and portal. We work to keep it available and patched, but we do not warrant that it will never have a bug or an outage. Paid delivery is warranted only to the written acceptance criteria in the statement of work. Implied warranties that the law does not allow us to exclude still apply.
10. Liability
To the extent Ugandan law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or loss of data that you did not back up when the contract required you to. For a paid project, our liability is typically capped at the fees paid for that project in the twelve months before the claim, unless the statement of work sets a different cap or the law forbids a cap (for example fraud). Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow that exclusion.
11. Termination
You may stop using the public site at any time. You may ask us to close a client account as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend access if invoices are unpaid, if use is abusive, or if we must take the site down for security. Hosting and retainers end as the contract says, including notice periods.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Courts of Uganda have jurisdiction, unless a signed contract for a named project chooses another forum. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still apply.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms for that use. Existing signed contracts do not change unless both sides agree in writing.
